Shopping Breaks: we can offer you a great deal
A short stroll across St. Stephen’s Green lies the Grafton Street quarter, Ireland’s premier shopping precinct. Here, some of Ireland’s most respected retail brands are complemented by a host of familiar international brands. Brown Thomas is probably the country’s most well-known department store but the entire area is peppered with smaller, specialist shops where the most surprising merchandise and even more extraordinary deals can be found.
North of the Liffey, the Henry Street area is also a shopper’s paradise: the vast Arnotts department store has been serving Dublin’s shoppers for over 150 years while the newer Jervis Centre and Ilac Centre add to the dizzying array of retail choices.
With so many optins, you may need a taxi to take all your shopping bags back to us; saying that, the Luas runs from St. Stephens Green all the way to O’Connell Street and is a very convenient way to nip around on town while you bargain-hunt.
Further afield, the Dundrum Town Centre, Liffey Valley Shopping Centre and Blanchardstown Centre are Dublin’s giant out-of-town shopping hubs. Dundrum can be reached directly by the Luas, in just 13 minutes or so from St. Stephen’s Green.
