Museum Of Literature Ireland
Step next door to experience a fascinating story
One of Dublin’s newest and most remarkable cultural landmarks is located directly next door to Stauntons on the Green.
MoLI – the Museum of Literature Ireland – has been established in Newman House, the original home of University College Dublin. One of the prime reasons for this was that James Joyce graduated from here in 1902; in fact, the ash tree under which he was photographed on that occasion still stands on the other side of our garden wall.
Ireland’s literary heritage is world-famous and MoLI shines a fascinating light on this long story. As well as imaginative and informative displays, priceless artefacts and interactive exhibits, its award-winning Commons Café is set in the original student dining halls. This is an inspiring location for long chats sipping premium coffees and teas while nibbling on delicious sandwiches and salads.
